Sabic located in Gelsenkirchen has a vacancy for a Operations Engineer (M/F) DEPARTMENT In your role as Operations Engineer, you control the production plants together with the Production Manager. Safe and reliable production according best in class EHS and SABIC production standards are your responsibility. JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of activities, taking account of compliance with EHSS & Regulatory regulations, including but not limited to: • Monitor and adhere to the production plan with regard to dates, quantity, quality, cost and safety • Control whether required process parameters are met • Control availability of raw and auxiliary material • Take Responsibility for operation and monitoring of production facilities • Implement measures relating to the proper conditions of the plants • Report and document production matters • Create and complete all documents that are necessary for normal operation • Represent Operations in meetings • Initiate and realize optimization and improvement possibilities • Implement new processes together with Technical • Participate in investment projects • Ensure all guidelines and policies are actual and adhered to • Lead and motivate production staff REQUIREMENTS The successful candidate will possess or be willing to obtain the following attributes: • Master/Bachelor degree in Engineering/Science • 3 year experience in Petrochemical organization • Basic leadership knowledge and knowledge of RCA • Knowledge of local requirements for operating chemical plants according Hazardous Incident Ordinance • Knowledge about EHSS-Management Systems and SHEMS • Preferable having Polymer process background, knowledge of CoW process and training systems FURTHER INFORMATION For more information about this role you can contact: Dr. Christoph Breitkopf, Senior Operations Manager, tel 0049 209 9339 744 or Jens Witte, Manager Human Resources, tel 0049 209 9339 320 Important notice: please be informed that a reference check, an employment verification and E-assessment is be part of our recruitment process.
