Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) Specialist (m/f)

Job Description:

  • Experience in 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) of part and assembly developments for thermoplastic applications
  • Competence in structural design simulations software; personal experience in simulations such as crash simulations, fatigue, creep and dynamic loads is a plus
  • Competence in processing simulation software; personal experience including anisotropic material modelling and warpage predictions would also be beneficial
  • Capable of CAE tools assessments and their ability to match or anticipate market needs around thermoplastics applications
  • Competence in design optimisation to provide support within active projects meeting customer requirements
  • Work in diverse and multifunctional teams (development, sales, design, process, testing etc.) to support customer projects
  • Participate in scientific interactions in close partnership with other CAE members based in Europe
  • Business travel to customers or for internal meetings within Europe (overnight stays might be required)

Your Profile:

  • Master degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Plastics or Design Engineering and/or Material Science
  • Several years of industrial experience with CAD and CAE expertise on thermoplastics or composites to design, analyse and optimise components using state-of-the-art software (such as PTC-Creo®, Ansa®, Abaqus®, Moldflow®, Digimat®) is a plus
  • Established material background in processing and testing of thermoplastics and/or composites
  • Expertise in automotive application developments is a plus
  • Good communication skills to promote ideas and concepts through visual means (CAD models, sketches etc.)
  • Strong sense of ownership and personal accountability in front of customers
  • Analytical, scientific and methodical in solving technical challenges
  • Ability to work independently as well as with teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Team player, flexible and able to adapt to a very demanding environment with rapid change and tight deadlines
  • High proficiency in German and English (spoken and written)
