x / x px Business Development Manager – DACH/BLX Automotive Job Purpose Drive profitable growth and expansion of Specifiers and OEM’s within the assigned portfolio/territory Identify, develop, and close new business, Build, maintain and orchestrate strong customer relationships Create and develop target pipeline Provide our company deep insights in business drivers of the Specifiers and OEM’s within assigned portfolio Responsibilities Develop Mid and long-term strategy (2-5 years) for own Specifiers & OEM’s and lead development of team’s account strategy. Next to that manage all short term transactional items of newly generated business (1-year time horizon) if it is a new specifier/ OEM for us or facilitates commercialization with AM or distribution partners. Leverage technical and commercial knowledge to discover, define, develop, deliver and translate high margin value added business in existing and new applications. Deliver application design productivity and leverage delivered value to secure material specification. Cooperate and coordinate with PM, T&I and GApt Teams (Research Groups) to improve OEM value recognition up to contracting. Translation of key technologies and validation of new technologies at assigned Specifiers & OEM(s) through in depth knowledge of Account strategy, specification/decision making process and product life cycle. Represents all aspects of the company’s business and is a source of information for the assigned Specifiers & OEM(s) and for SABIC Specialities – It includes the understanding of all contractual and commercial arrangements. Responsible to bring “Voice of Customer” to SABIC-Specialties Product Team, Business Management, T&I and Fulfilment Team to better materialize New Product Introduction (NPI) opportunities. Give input for planning, forecasting (S&OP) when this is relevant. Requirements Mechanical, Electronical or Plastics Engineer or Chemical Master Degree Experience in automotive industry is a must, specifically among system suppliers EV industry and/or under-the-hood experience is an advantage 5 - 10 years Application Development and/or Plastics experience is a plus Languages; German, English both are mandatory for the job Full Time Position - Frequent travelling; 30% to 50% of total time, home office Candidate Skills Self-starter with the drive and passion to succeed Excellent communication and matrix management skills Out of the box thinker who can be creative and good at grasping new opportunities. The DACH/BLX Business Development /OEM Growth group belongs to the commercial DACH/BLX team within the customer fulfillment department in SABIC Specialty Europe. The group has the responsibility to develop Project Pipeline and grow sales in focus segments with new & existing Specifiers and selected OEM’s in DACH/BLX. The BD/OEM Growth DACH/BLX group is 9 -11 Business Development and OEM Growth managers. The Business Development Manager reports to the DACH/BLX BD/OEM Growth Leader and manages projects and accounts in an assigned growth area and leads an European growth team for the topic of E-mobility.
