About us Ravago is an international recycler and distributor of plastics, building materials and chemicals. Recycling and compounding of plastics is our largest activity. We provide a sustainable service to the entire industry by collecting, sorting, and recycling polymer waste streams at our manufacturing plants in EMEA and North America. Furthermore, we develop own prime and recycled content compound formulations, covering a wide range of engineering plastics, polyolefins, elastomers, and synthetic rubbers, with a total annual capacity of over 1 million metric tons. Our materials are eventually converted into many different applications including car parts, electronics, household goods, construction materials and other high-quality products across large variety of end markets. We are looking to further strengthen our RME European Engineering Team as soon as possible by a RME European Engineer Full-time, based in Germany The role • Supporting the European Ravago Manufacturing Business • Planning and running projects at our different sites to drive efficiency, quality, cost reduction, process optimization • Drive the project from the initial study until the handover to production • Negotiate the equipment and machinery needs with selected suppliers • Uncover synergies between the plants and support learning from each other • The role is part of a European Team and reports directly to the RME Operations Manager • The focus of the role will be in Germany for the first year at our sites in Schkopau near Leipzig and Steinfurt Your background • University degree or technician (Machine Tooling, Automatization, Industrial or Process Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) • Relevant experience in a manufacturing company – preferably from the plastic industry • Relevant project management experience in an manufacturing environment • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Methods • German fluent, good English knowledge, preferably further European languages • Good knowledge MS Office, preferably also AutoCAD • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels from a production worker up to the Business Director • Strategic and innovative thinking • Shows initiative and pro-active working method • Likes to work autonomously • Hands on approach • Focused and results driven • Willingness to travel Sounds like you?
